Personality:
Micky was named after the loss of my father as only a very young child, he was purchased from the Murray family in February 2009 only to be kindly gifted. Micky started off his training learning as a gun dog, flushing pigeons up in the air and picking up his soft toys. He has always enjoyed this as he refused to play with anything else! He spent his days travelling to work with his 'mummy' who took him horse riding with her as his exercise, he found this real fun following the big hooves, even racing at times! In 2010 he was taken out lamping on the lead to see how he would take to it, he needed NO introduction as he leapt straight on the target and briskly got on with the job. He quickly learnt to leave on command as there would be another 2 waiting for him!
In 2011 he was taken beating to show the world that a patterdale can be trained to be soft mouthed too, and he did just this, collecting 3 HUGE pheasants out of rivers before the other dogs!
He is also the perfect family dog managing to switch off from the work he loves and enjoys to come and visit the family with 2 young children who insist on riding him like a horse and grooming him, along with teaching him new tricks.
